My First Beate Weekend Sketch!

This weekend I made a card for the Beate Weekend Sketch Challenge. I used my new set "From our home to yours" by Hero Arts. I stamped the house twice and then two trees in between the houses. Ive just discovered the "bending" of clear stamps to make them look different, so I bent the top of my tree two different ways to make them each look slightly different. And of course now that I'm looking at it I could have stretched out one of my houses to make them look different also. Oh well, I guess there's always a next time! I colored in my image using my Stampendous chalks. Then I added this great ribbon in the corners and the scallop sentiment along with a finishing touch of rhinestones. I love how simple this card was and the sketch was very easy to re-create!
Enjoy and have a fabulous day!

Sleigh Full of Presents

Well Ive officially started on the christmas cards. Im the type of person that will start with one design, decide to mass produce it and then a week later completly hate the design and start over again. So this year I will be making a different for card for every person on my list!!! Its going to be a challenge, but at least you will get to see a lot of cards!!
This card started out with this great Oriental Trading paper that has glitter on it. Then I layered it on DCWV Metallic Paper to make it even more shimmery. I cut out the "snow piles" with white card stock and then inked them with Martha Stewart's Silver Ink. The stamped image is one I received a while back and am unsure about the origin. I hope you enjoy it and look forward to the next card I will posting which is a sentiment only card!
On one final note I want to say Thank You to everyone who voted yesterday. It is such a blessing to be part of such a great nation and I am looking forward to our future!
Have a great night!

Sisters In Pink

For today's card I used a stamped image I received a while back in an image swap. I loved the soft look of the chalking on the image so I decided to use a soft pink theme for the card. I layered everything and then added the black and pink striped ribbon for a punch of darkness and then added the half pearls to the side of the card.

I will be stamping today so look for some more cards to come this week!

Have a fabulous day :)

Scallop Punch See Through Card

Today's card is all Purple!!! (with a bit of black, lol). For this card I used my 1 1/2" circle punch as well as my 2" scallop punch. I layered purple card stock for my base and then cut completely through the card with the scallop punch. I then placed my purple scallop on the inside of the card showing through. This gives a very neat effect when opened. The sentiment I used is from an unknown as of yet set with lots of cute animals and cute sayings in it. (Thought it was Stampendous, but cant seem to find it). Then I added some gemstones and black ribbon and Voila!

Another Wedding Craft...

Since I didn't have time to post the place cards I made before the wedding I wanted to show them to you now. They were very simple to mass produce but have a very striking look to them, especially with the one pearl in the middle.
I put the place cards in a circle around the centerpieces on the tables and it gave such a neat look to to the table as a whole. It took approximately 3 hours to make 100 of these.

First Snow!!!

Well today is officially the first day of SNOW!! I know I'm crazy, but I just love the white stuff! So, I probably should be thinking Christmas today, but somehow I thought Green and Black??

Today's card uses up some great scrap paper that I had lying around. I made the three background panels and then distressed the edges of each. I also distressed the edges of the front black panel. Then I added my sentiment and embellishments and the card is complete.

I may be back later with the SCS card sketch of today, but it depends on how my morning goes!

EDIT: The stamp set used in this card is called "Playful Animals" by Hero Arts.

Recipe:

Card stock: Green and Black Unknown

Designer Paper: Unknown Scraps

Stamps: Playful Animals by Hero Arts

Tools: 1 1/2" Circle Punch, 2" Scallop Punch, Distresser

Embellishments: Certainly Celery Ink, Gemstones by Hero Arts, Green Ribbon

PS. You may notice a lot of "unknowns" in my recipes for awhile. This is because I have been very bad at keeping track of the labels for my products. If you know what anything is that I have labeled unknown please let me know.

SCS Sketch Challenge - 10 days and Counting!!!

First off I would just like to say that I am only TEN, yes TEN days away from being married!! YIKES!! The stress level is rising and so I thought I would de-stress today and do the Sketch Challenge on Split Coast. You can view the sketch HERE. I decided that since the fall leaves are already falling I should do at least one fall card before the season is over. I used my Loads of Love stamp set from Stampin Up. (I'm not sure if the pumpkins came with that set or if they were from the Loads of Love Accessories set). I also did a chalking/ inking technique that Michelle Zindorf does for the first time. I think it came out pretty good and I cant wait to try it some more. I like the look of the chalk since it is a little more subtle and gives you more room to fix your mistakes, lol. I also used my scallop punch for the greeting and some cream rivets on the corners. The truck is popped up on dimensionals and colored in with my BIC markers.

I hope you enjoy the card and I will try to be back before the big day with another post :)

Cinnamon Hearts Wedding Favors

So, Here finally is my picture of my wedding favors! The colors for the wedding are red and white so cinnamon hearts fit in perfectly! I bought these white tins with a see-thru lid for a dollar a piece through an online favor outlet store and the added the top piece. For the top decoration I used a two inch scallop punch to make the red scallop backgrounds, then I used my fiskars circle cutter to cut out the cake image I printed out from Clipart. I then took my SU Purely Pomegranate ink and sponged around the outside of the circle before adhering it to the scallop circle. Because the clear part of the lids were a little sunk in I used pop dots to raise up the scallop a bit. Then I filled them with cinnamon hearts and they were done! I have many more projects to come so stay tuned to check them all out!

Have a great Day :)

What I've been up to -->

Sadly, I have nothing "crafty" to share with you today :( But, I do have some pictures! Since I have been completely taken over by wedding planning and scrapping has been put on the back burner, I thought I would share some wedding things with you. In the next few weeks I will be doing some crafty things for the wedding and will definitely share those with you! But, for now here is a picture of my dress and my Matron of Honor's dress.

Some of the things I will be making for the wedding are parts of the centerpieces, embellishing the favor tins and the place cards. I cant wait to get started on all of these things, but need to make a trip to my LSS first and pick up some supplies. I look forward to sharing the finished products with you soon :)

I love me a good pun :0)

As promised, here are the embellished images for the "Very Punny" SU set. I colored them all in with my BIC's and double matted them on some coordinating cardstock. Then I added a coordinating ribbon stapled on with colored staples and added a few dots around the corners. They are something I like to make often in different forms since they are easily available to be added to any card or used as a gift tag.

Well, the weekend is off to a very busy start and it is looking like I will not be stamping again until Monday. Enjoy your weekend and I will post again on Monday :)

Limited Supplies Fridays!

Today I did my first challenge over at split coast stampers. It was limited supplies Friday and the requirements were a coffee image and the color orange. Here is what I came up with:
The image is from Pun Fun by Stampin Up! and the papers are from DCWV and Making Memories. I also used Marvy ink around the edges in Copper Penny. The ribbon is scrap and the image is colored in using my Bic Markers.
Tomorrow I will be posting the embellishment squares I made using the Very Punny stamp set from Stampin Up!
Have a great night!

Use Your Scraps Fridays!

So, Ive decided that every Friday I would like to post a challenge where one of the requirements will be to use up your scraps! The challenge will be posted every Friday (or Thursday Night, lol), and then the links to all the cards made for the challenge will be posted on Monday! So, to enter all you need to do is comment on the Friday Challenge post (this post :)) and let me know that you have made a card for the weeks scrap challenge. Then on Mondays I will post the links to everyones cards!

On to this weeks requirements:

1. Just use your scraps! This weeks is a free for all. As long as you use scraps on your card it will qualify!

So have fun and I look forward to seeing everyones creations!

Oh yah, Heres my card for the challenge. I used this Charlie Horse stamp and sentiment along with some SCRAPS of DCWV glitter paper and Memory Makers Cardstock in Cranberry. I also used a scrap or ribbon left over from a ribbon swap.

P.S. Sorry about the quality of the photo, Im still working on taking better pictures!

"I Stink Your Sweet"

Well, today I am not going to have time to do a new card so I thought I would post another card from my Etsy Account. I used a very cute stamped image from a Stampin Up set, I think the one called Pun Fun! I also inked the edges in Purely Pomegrante ink and also used a cotton ball to dab the same ink onto the piece of cardstock across the middle of the card.

I have so mnay ideas for cards that I want to try but I need to get some work done, lol! I hope you enjoy the card for today and maybe, just maybe I can squeeze out some time tonight to make a new one :)

Have a great day!

My First Blog Post!!!

Hello,

Well, as you can see from the title this is my first blog :) Ive been browsing others blogs and have decided that it's time to take the plunge and start my own.

I would first like to explain why I chose the title I did (And yes I know that lazy has only one y:). I am the type of scrapper that loves to scrap, but everytime I sit down to do it I instead spend hours browing others creations, trying to get inspiration, but instead spend all my time looking and none of my time actually scrapping! Hence, the lazy scrapper!

I will admit that Ive been in a bit of a creative slump lately, but I do have a card I made yesterday that I will show you. Its a waterfall card and I thought the card worked really well with the monkeys!

Thank you for checking out my blog and check back every day for a new creation :)
